NOTICE OF HEARING ON

GENERAL BUDGET FOR THE 2013-2014 FISCAL YEAR

TO:      The residents and property owners of the Township of Fabius, St. Joseph County, Michigan, and all other interested persons.

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Township Board of the Fabius Township has estimated that the total cost and expenses of the general operation of the Township, including fire and police protection service for the 2013-2014 fiscal year of the Township will be $712,600.

A summary of the foregoing by categories is as follows:

Total General Government                                         $287,760

Public Safety (Fire and Law Enforcement)                $255,325

Public Works (Roads)                                                            $  62,015

Health and Welfare (Ambulance)                               $  22,800

Community Development (Planning and ZBA)           $  28,700

Recreation and Culture (Library)                                $  56,000

PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE the total anticipated revenues of the Township including state shared revenues for use in funding the general budget totals $ 712,600 .

PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that the Township Board will conduct a public hearing on the budget for the foregoing es­timated costs, expenses and capital charges  at the Township Hall, within the Township on Wednesday, March 13, 2013 at 7:30 p.m.

PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that a copy of the proposed budget will be on file and available for public inspec­tion at the office of the Township Clerk at the Township Hall and available for public inspection during regular office hours of regular business days, from and after the publication of this notice, and until and including the day of said hearing and will further be available at said hearing.

PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that following the public hearing on the budget the Township will conduct the annual meeting of the residents. PLEASE NOTE THERE WILL NOT BE AN ANNUAL MEETING – THIS WAS AN ERROR.

PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that the Township will provide necessary, reasonable auxiliary aids and services to individuals with disabilities upon reasonable notice to the Township Clerk of the need for the same. Individuals with disabilities requiring auxiliary aids or services should contact the office of the Township Clerk by writing or calling the undersigned Clerk.

All interested persons are invited to be present at the aforesaid time and place to participate in the discussion upon said proposed budget and the annual meeting.
